Attention 8th Grade Parents! It's time to submit your favorite baby/toddler picture for the yearbook! The note below went home today! ONE picture needs to be submitted by February 21st.
Sports/Group Picture Day is coming up on February 5th! This will include:
All 3rd and 4th grade PeeWee sports, 5th grade basketball, Volleyball, Bowling, Scholar Bowl, Brain Games participants, and music groups!

There have been some changes to this weekend from the original schedule. Here is how this weekend will go with the games with St. Mary's and JL Buford:
Girls will play at JL Buford at 9:00
3rd grade boys will play at St. Mary's at 9:00
5th grade will play at St. Mary's at 10:00
There is no 4th grade game this weekend and there will be no cheerleading at St. Mary's games.

Good evening. The buses will resume normal bus routes beginning tomorrow morning, January 21st. Please keep in mind, buses may be a bit delayed due to road conditions. Thank you!

Volleyball Open Gym for grades 5-8 will be held Tuesday and Wednesday this week from 3:30-5:00.
Volleyball Tryouts will be Thursday and Friday this week from 3:30-5:00 each day.
Rome will be in session tomorrow, January 14th. There will be some bus pick-up and drop-off location changes; however, most students will be picked up and dropped off at their normal locations. If your location is being changed, you will be notified by Mrs. Mellott this evening.
Please keep in mind that the buses will be moving slower due to road conditions, and this will also cause pick-up and drop-off times to vary. Please have your children stand a safe distance from the road and wait until the bus comes to a complete stop before they approach the bus to ride.
If your child typically rides the bus but will be a car rider, please contact the school office at 618-266-7214.
Open Gym information:
There will be open gym for girls JV/V basketball today from 3:00-5:00. The boys will have open gym for JV from 5:00-6:30 and V from 6:30-8:00.
The boys basketball game scheduled for tonight, January 13 has been cancelled.
Due to the conditions of the side roads, Rome Grade School will utilize an E-Learning day tomorrow, January 13, 2025. If you would like to request a school lunch for your child, please email Mrs. Mellott at smellott@rome2.net or let your child's teacher know by 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. Lunches will be ready for pickup between 12:00 and 12:30 on the east side of the school building.
